Rules of the Company Empty Rules of the Company

    Membership Contracts
Those persons wishing to join the company can enter as one of two professions: mercenary or businessman. Your contract will have a term of service in which you cannot accept competing contracts. However, you can engage in additional private work of your own as long as it does not aid or with a rival or competing company.

As your experience grows and contracts complete with the company, your opportunities may become greater and far more interesting.

OOC Note: When your contract is up, you remain in the guild. You won't be removed. But you can engage in private contracts at that point, or accept another contract with the company.

    Contract Terms (general):
As you serve your contracted terms, further opportunities may come available. To gain their opportunities, you must prove your worth in the company through commissioned work. This is not a time limit. And trust in business is key.

OOC IMPORTANT: Do not pester the OFFICERS for "when" promotions will happen. You have to roleplay your way to other ranks and deeper service. You may not even know OOCly how that is attained. You have to prove your character's IC worth, trustworthiness, and experience towards the deeper work. The private motives of the guild are never known publicly, nor by entry members.

    Contracted Membership: Mercenary
Those who seek membership to the Company must sign a contract. When entering as a Mercenary, you are contracted to protect goods, services, and caravans for the company.

Your contracts have a specific time set by the OFFICERS, included in your contract.

Those that first join the company are provided a contract with the following standard rules:
    • Provide services to the company for protecting and ensuring the procurement and arrival of goods.
    • Uphold standards and regulations as set by Vanarches of provinces.
    • Work with local militia if within the bounds of trade business.
    • Never accept a competing contract when under contract. You can bring these opportunities to your OFFICER.
    • Private work is allowed when off-the-clock, as long as it does not directly or indirectly tie to competing companies.
    • Contact OFFICERS when businessmen, companies, local traders, or Vanarchs seek commissions.

    Contracted Membership: Businessman
Those who seek membership to the Company must sign a contract. If you enter the company to aid in conducting business, you can provide those details and sign a contract similar to a mercenary.

Your contracts have a specific time set by the OFFICERS, included in your contract.

Those that first join the company are provided a contract with the following standard rules:
    • Provide services to travel with the company to ensure arrival and review of shipments to complete contracts with cities, townships, provinces, and other companies.
    • Bring all business ventures to the OFFICERS. Encouraging business is always welcome.

    Titles and Ranks
    (names subject to change!)
GUILDLEADER: Runs the company and conducts business with and through the OFFICERS.
OFFICERS: Handle all commissions and contracts in council with the GUILDLEADER.
Mercenaries: Handle the protection of caravans and shipments. Aid in procurement of goods.
Businessmen: Handle the business side of contracts. Aid in procurement of goods and business.

    On Roleplay and Etiquette

A guild is a wonderful way to enjoy gaming. You build friendships and play with like-minded people. Through the game and membership, you can grow in your experiences in the lands of Tera and just have a crazy good time.

This guild will have a public and private face. To help provide flavor and secrets, schemes and goals. Your character will not know the full truth unless they roleplay to learn it.

We only ask you have fun, and keep every action In Character (IC). Drama belongs there, in stories and plots.

Have fun. Profit from your ventures. And enjoy the game of Tera.

    Thanks!

    That thing called...DRAMA
Drama is an awesome genre of movies and tv shows, books, and comics. It's a wonderful part of roleplay, like fear, action, drama, adventure, etc.

But drama has ZERO place in OOC between players, and should remain out of Out Of Character (OOC) conversations.

This guild does not support dramatics in OOC between players. If you have an issue, work it out. If you need officers to help, include us.

IMPORTANT!: OOC harassment will not be tolerated. You may find yourself removed from the guild quickly to resolve issues.

This is bolded cause we mean it. 100%. This is to keep the game FUN! We all play to have fun. Smile Let's keep it that way.

    Roleplay: It's all you!
If you wish to lead a plot, that is entirely within your own business and plans. If this plot would affect trade or leadership, please contact an OFFICER. You can both hash out OOC details to make sure it works out and could lead to killer stories.

What you create, YOU create. You don't have to have sign off and acceptance from the council. Just go for it!

If it affects other players, may want to let them know, and work things out. If you need help, toss up a post or have an open chat with others.

Officers are NOT here to rule your roleplay. We don't control your story. Just keep us in the loop when it's something we -should- know about.
