    The general story of the guild is Arawn in an epic card game won title to a mercenary company called the Onyx Rose. Malani was in that game hoping to win it. Alektos and Voriel were there, lost all their gold to Arawn, and followed. Verael used to own the gold Arawn gambled...er borrowed. And Baeshra couldn't stand by with such an awesome chance to join up with her childhood pals!

    From there, the focus and concept is in phases:
    1. Earn contracts, make contacts, get some gold, and grow the company.
    2. Make ties to the Valkyon, become a merc force they consider for assignments.
    3. Start areas of business: brothels, gambling, caravans, import/export, protection.
    4. Build a black market.
    5. ???
    6. Profit as kings!

    With this concept, there is so much room to grow!

    The game has some really sexy lore. But the best way to get to it is through story quests (the orange marked quests). These are fascinating the further you get. I don't want to reveal spoilers, but some of the stories will blow you away. And they all begin with the First Expedition way back on the Island of Dawn and continue into level 60!

    A few of us were thinking of ways to write about these quests with the guild's theme and perspective. For example, when you reach quests sending you to Tulufan (36-40 range, Dark Cathedral), you are constantly told mercenary units were under contract and died enroute with their crates. Something we were kicking around is the company picks up the contracts, renegotiates, and continues the work. Giving a spin in a way on the quests through the place.

    May start writing up some open stories for things like that. But would love to know what others would like to do.
