Normal Dyes - These cost 50silver and have names like Yellow Dye. Each dye has a few differing shades and last 1 day.
Spectral Dyes - These cost 1gold and have names like Spectral Yellow Dye. Each dye has more choices for color shades and last 7 days.
Dye Kits - Anyone can buy and use these kits. They cost 10 silver and require rare drops from herbing plants (primarily) and mining ores (minorly) in the world, like bugs or special leaves and flakes. These are rare drops, and the dye offers shades only obtained through crafting them. Due to the rarity, they can be costly or take time to make. Sometimes they are for sale for about 1-3 gold on the Trade Brokers.
When you dye your clothes, it adds specific RGBY values to the base color of your garment. This can affect how it looks when applied.
You can dye your Chest piece, Gloves, and Shoes! You can apply different shades for a mix and match feel too.
Your items will show how much time is left on the dye in your Character window.
To use:
1. Buy the dye.
2. Put any gear you want to dye in your bags.
3. Right click on the dye. It opens a preview.
4. Drag and drop the item to dye.
5. Select hues to preview.
6. Accept the choice. Your gear is dyed!
7. Close the window and equip the gear!
